Act ffxiv not working.

I installed ACT today, and everything looks to be working fine except for one major problem, there is no overlay. Am I missing something? I followed all the instructions I could find but I cannot get the overlay to show up in ffxiv. When I click the "show ffxiv overlay" button nothing happens.
