If you do today's lost sector solo on Legend or Master, there's high chances (not 100%) of dropping an exotic armor piece upon completion. If you can't solo a lost sector, look for Vex Incursion events at Neomuna, which will 100% award an Exotic armor piece upon successful completion.

It’s the lost sector in the cosmodrome today, forget the name of it, but I think you need to be like 1500 or 1520 light before they unlock. You have to be 1500 light. Once you reach this light level, the lost sector of the day will show up on your destinations map in purple. You have to complete the lost sector at least once before it will show.
