Many other companies besides PSA and BGS don’t have a thorough process at grading and if the card doesn’t look like it’s been in a war zone it’s a 10. But even with that PSA and BGS have been unreliable in the past few years with cards being graded 8.5’s and then the recipient resending and the card coming back a 10.

BGS is preferred for newer cards mostly. However, Beckett is tougher on grading and a BGS 9.5 is just not as good as a PSA 10 or even PSA 9.
