If I rapid fire it, every 3rd round, the slide locks back. I’ve checked my grip, I’ve fired single handed with both hands, cleaned it well, tried different mags and even swapped the slide catch from one of my .45 custom IIs.Remove the extractor. Remove the firing pin if you want to be extra cautious. Seat a fully loaded magazine. Depress the slide stop to allow the slide to move forward at full speed. I'm 6'6 325lb so it happens. Cars don't fit, plastic lawn chairs don't stand a chance, and sometimes things like guns just don't fit either. I also own a Rock Island Tac II in 10 mm. A fantastic gun that was $400 less expensive than its Colt and Kimber counterparts. Back to this stainless Kimber Target II. It is clearly the nicest 1911 I own.

Also fired 16 rounds of Buffalo Bore 21B (180 gr JHP) and 16 rounds of Hornady 180 gr XTP. Used two Kimber magazines and a Wilson Combat.
