Crystal, and it's not close. crystal armour gives +15% damage. Masori gives +8 ranged strength. Even ignoring the other pieces you might have like anguish or assembler, the bow has over 100 ranged str, so 15 is obviously way more than 8. It also increases the bonus from your ranged level. Accuracy is a similar story.

The difference between bowfa and bowfa+armor is about twice as big as the difference between msb and bowfa without armor. Crystal bow + armor does similar dps to bowfa without armor on mid defense targets and even 10+% higher dps on a high defense target like gwd bosses. If you have a bowfa but no armor, you don't have a bowfa.

The only upkeep of bowfa is the degrading armor. Dude corrupting it requires 2000 crystal shards. That's 32m gp and for 32m gp in shards you'd otherwise get 200k shots with the uncorrupted bofa. It's not like regular bofa doesn't require anything to use. Since bofa is 4 tick that's 25 shots per minute or 1500 per hour.

Crystal bow is also good in fight caves. The armor set is what makes it out DPS your rune cbow, should also be more accurate. Bowfa is of course the long term goal there though. The other advantage to both of these options is they are a cash option for ammo that is decent for it's cost, vs buying rune arrows or amethyst and things of that nature.

With crystal armor it's a landslide better option. Assuming you can afford it. 3. It’s still a better crystal bow so useable for sure , and sees good use at lizardman shamans (where you can’t use the armor anyway) as a free to use alternative to bp.
