A serial number starting with a G706 makes no sense at all. It would have to start with 27XXXXX or 28XXXXX to be a Colt M1991A1. The ORM guns were made from 1991 until around 2000 or so when the new rollmark (NRM) models came out. The earliest ones had a Parkerized finish and hard plastic grips (which usually cracked).
