Some involve race/class/universal tree unlocks but a fair bit don't. I would say new players go look there instead of other places. His builds are really good for starters.

I recommend starting with Tiefling Fiend warlock; Strimtom's newbie build is a good place to start, even though it's almost two years old. The bad news: summoning is pretty terrible in DDO, at least if you're trying to get by with only the Summon Monster spells: because (A) you're only allowed one summoned critter at a time ...I don't argue how incredible mass frog is for R10 and raids in general, but so far I've been leaning towards the more defense focused build for being able to lead groups with.
