Dodge durango intermittent starting problem.

Feb 4, 2019 · Check the positive post at the fuse box and grounded at the “jump post”, 10v. Start the Durango and voltage at the battery goes to 16.7v, voltage at the fuse box is 10, 9, 8, 7, 6 dropping. Electronics go nuts, engine sputters and shuts off. You cant even shut off the engine. Let everything cool for 1/2 hour and it was back to normal. Repeated several times (drop to Empty, slowly return) all the way down Cal 99 as the temps stayed in the 90's and 100's. Once we got back to more reasonable temps, fuel readings returned to normal. Start with the ignition key at the off position. Rotate it from off to run (not start) 3 time within 5 seconds. you'll end up leaving it in run.
