Still a bit stiff, but that changes with ammo brand. I do have a Franchi Affinity 20 Compact coming, it is 43.375 in. - 44.375 in. OAL vs. 47.25 in. of the std. The a300 will shoot softer so it will help for high volume shooting or shooting with heavy loads. I can't think of any advantage for the affinity, but its still a very good gun.
