Yes, 80% parts are interchangeable with standard 1911 milspec parts. That is a HUGE benefit compared to other 1911-22's on the market, IMO. But the 1911-22 does have a fixed barrel via the slide stop, pin and allen screw. This is not a bad thing, just different from the barrel lug design on the milspec .45.

Remember to NOT DRY FIRE any .22 unless you are using some sort of snap cap. In the GSG products, the firing pin is not the best. I had them break in normal use, and had visible peening from one accidental dry fire.
