Turn off the power and unplug your dryer from the wall outlet. Remove the old 3-prong outlet from the wall and replace it with an appropriate 4-prong outlet. Connect the green wire to the ground screw on the new 4-prong outlet. Connect the white neutral wire to the silver colored terminal on the new 4-prong outlet.
