The trigger pull on my EC9s was very nice. I don't have a trigger gauge, but its probably 1/2-3/4 the pull of my moderately broken in LCP.It’s newer, and it doesn’t have a safety. Plus the asking price for an EC9S is around $325 here and it’s not worth that! More like $199 range. Now, if a safety doesn’t bother you, and the prices drop on the EC9S in a few months, then go for it. The Max-9 does have a safety, same place as the one on the EC9S, left side. If you're stuck between those two I would go with the Max. Smaller, easier to throw it in a pocket and just go. You'll never even have to think about going out unarmed.
