Posted March 30, 2019. Since melee 3.0 aim is to add fluidity to the battle, I think that it would be a great opportunity to shift the "finishers" from the Melee button to the Contextual/Use button. This would be a QoL change that would bring many advantages for players of frames that open enemies to finishers, like inaros, equinox and others.

Also, you do not need the finisher animation to do good damage. If they are stunned/unalerted the vast majority of enemies will fall to a well built melee weapon's quick attack. This is how stealth focus farming is able to work. You run around invisible so they are unaware and AVOID finisher animation so you can pack more kills in a shorter time.
