I had spontaneous rupture of membranes, followed by a sweep at hospital and then a bloody show which went on for a good few hours. No mucus plug as such. Last edited 05-09-15. I went to bed last night with some cramps and a tought it was because of my OB apointment. But i woke up at 3am with real contractions. I lost my mucus plug and simce , i have irregular contractions every 6-8 minutes. Crossing my fingers it will stay like that and the the real labour will start soon :)

I lost mine with ds but still had to be induced, some people loose it during labour, right before labour, or weeks/days before labour. Unfortunately there isn't really much telling how far away labour is.
