The rubber deteriorates and shot digs into the grommet and gets caught between the bar and the loader head.The progressive primer feeds work differently from the single-stagers. Same as the bars look alike, but are different. I learned on a single-stage MEC (far older than a 600Jr), I load progressive or single stage depending on how much volume I need. I typically load 75-100/hr on a single-stage Mec (100 is humping hard).
