It was an intermittent issue, as the engine light would not immediately re-appear after clearing. The remedy was, as I said in an earlier post, to replace the right hand front forkleg. This is now a known fault I believe. B2121 is "starter output open and B2271 is "BCM voltage low". You either have a bad BCM or a wiring problem between the BCM and the starter. Since you checked voltage at pin L2 on the BCM to be low, that seems to be the place to start.
