Second plate had light showing through between optic and filler plate near front lugs. They sent out 2nd replacement plate, same issue. 3rd replacement plate was sent out and said they would hand test to make sure it was a clean fit.The Sig P365X is really straightforward. It's the pistol I want/need it to be out of the box. The Holosuns will mount directly to it, and it already takes proper mags. The Glock 43X is a bit more complicated. I can buy a standard 43X then spend ~$200 to get the slide machined, or I can spend extra for a MOS model plus another $50 for a C&H plate.
The 43x might shoot better because it is larger than the Max 9. 43x with shield arms mag fucks. Max 9 is a much better value, assuming the kinks are worked out. I also really like the safety on the Max 9; very easy to use. Don't forget to maybe check out the hellcat or Sig 365XL.
Over the course of time the tabs on shield gen 3 will erode the mag interior IMO! Dirt and debris gets in opening as well. Additionally I have tried to Champer the leading edge as with Glock and PSA. This helps allow the edge of the shell slide over edge of mag as well. Just my opinion ( based on my experience with the aforementioned on my 43x.

I run a G43 upper (slide, barrel, and recoil spring assembly) on a G43X MOS frame for the exact same reasons.I wanted an accessory rail and no front serrations. And I wanted to mill the slide to directly accept a Trijicon RMRcc rear iron sight forward, rather than having to run an adapter plate or mill the G43X MOS slide.The 43x might shoot better because it is larger than the Max 9. 43x with shield arms mag fucks.
