The result was a bad crank position sensor!! It's a $25 part and was replaced within 1.5 hours!! No more stalling or lights on my dash! Check engine light / VDC OFF / SLIP lights on. I just recently got my 2011 Fronty with 31K miles serviced for brakes, rotors and my MAF sensor going bad. Everything was fine but I the other day those lights tripped on and my car started to jerk and rev oddly so I had pulled over and cleared the lights by doing the reset "accelerator pedal" trick.Nov 17, 2020 · I have a 2005 Xterra and I am having problem diagnosing the issues. This is most likely the issue. I had these same lights come on in my G35 and after replacing the camshaft sensors, that fixed the issue. Had a similar experience 141k miles 6speed manual, VDC and Slip light stayed on. rough idle and fluctuation rpms when steady on the gas. My wife said it didn't want to start but finally did (it's like 15 degrees F here today) and she said the "check engine soon," "SLIP," and "VDC Off" lights were all on and it wouldn't move. Most likely when you disconnected the battery you cleared the G-Sensor and Steering Angle sensor calibrations. So they will both need to be reset.
