They sent me another doorbell, which I installed yesterday, but the doorbell still won’t pick up all motion. I even had to push the large reset button just to get this new doorbell working.

Sounds like it might be a small doorbell transformer. The doorbell transformer should have a decal or something on it that shows the VA rating. SimpliSafe has never given a formal or informal minimum VA requirement far as I know. I seem to recall Ring recommended a minimum of 20-25VA transformer previously and 30VA for the their doorbell pro.
