Re: Chichen Itza hours of operation. it takes about 90 minutes from Merida if you use the Cuota (toll road), a little longer via the Libre (free road). I recommend taking that Libre because you go through a couple of villages and get to see what that's like in the early morning just as people are getting on with their day.Chichen Itza is well impressive, though not as big as I had thought.
