I was stuck at 6/6. I dug under the pillar with the manipulator thinking it was clipped inside. It turned out to be a dog sentinel, stuck in the air. I was able to shoot it down and finished the mission. I also shot one that was clipped in the pillar in 4/6 or 5/6. You just have to search in unlikely places. Good luck.
Go to the other side of the planet. Use a sentinel pillar map and see if it comes up with a closer one that isn't in a volcano. And/or kill all five waves and a sentinel pillar will be marked. I don't KNOW that "any" pillar will do, but sometimes that's all it takes. 2.
