Legendary drop rate is around 25% on a platinum ranking. Nothing is working against you but RNG. There is no cooldown. Dude had a 30 run stretch without an exotic drop. Master drop rate might be around 33% (he only did 150 of those), but the fact they take longer negates the bump in percentage. Legend is 1250, master is 1280. If you get an exotic drop from thr 1250, you will get an exotic you do not have over one you do. Other than that it's just restricted to that slot. Ie if you want a better rolled necrotic grips than the one you already have from the 1250 gauntlet legend lost sector, you aren't garunteed another necrotic grip drop at the end if you roll an exotic for completion ...Just bad rng mate.
