Apr 14, 2024 · There's no reason to hardmod your N3DS. There are other alternatives to recover a bricked 3DS - if you have a spare DS lying around, you can reprogram a compatible flash card with ntrboot, and from there, restore a NAND backup.

You can also do a CTRtransfer as well to fix your system. It's worth noting that Luma3DS boots long before the NAND is mounted, so it shouldn't be affected by a broken NAND. You should be able to boot into GM9 by holding start while booting the system. I do suggest getting your hands on an R4i Gold Plus in the future.
