This stuff is important, as while you can make them all work together, it drives what parts you need to acquire to make them all work. For example, CETME C rifles do not use a handguard hanger, the pin just rests against the top of the barrel. Early G3's are the same way, and later G3's have a welded-on hanger that the handguard pin goes through.

Cetme C cocking tube extension necessary? I messed up a bit on my kit. While de milling my kit I accidentally cut into the the top part of the cocking tube extension and while removing the welds with a chisel deformed it a bit so the top of the bolt carrier will not slide into the cocking tube.
