Dayzsalauncher seems faster because it caches the server + modlist and it also has extra filtering. It requires the server owner to run an extra app too. Once in a while it's gets wonky and there is 0 support on the discord. Once you find a good server in either one, just favorite it and its all good.

I'm also a big fan of the mod, but I just don't enjoy Standalone at this point in time. It's still very much an early-access Alpha that has a lot of bugs, desync issues and the list goes on.
