I've found that the 4.0L runs best on champion copper plugs. The same kind that it came with. Since your XJ is a 2001, it won't have plug wires or a distributor but instead has a coil pack ignition. I check fuses, all good. Tested all the relays in the fuse/relay box and all tested good. Tested the external relay from the TIPM recall and is good. I pulled the fuel line off the rail and there was definitely fuel pressure. Basically that nut slides down and clamps down the hose. A picture may help because I've only ever seen the pressure fitting. It's kinda a pain to get on and off, but a 21mm wrench (shorter is better) will fit in there. You'll keep hitting the fan and will have to get 1/8th turn on one side of the fan, then move the wrench to the other side.
