It is not the month to see Croatia at its stunning best. My favourite months here are April, May, June, September and October. I'd try to go in May for fewer people, though peak season is July and August. Sone coastal towns start gearing up a bit in May but definitely not crowded. Plus May is sublimely lush and beautiful.
